The story

Too busy building to tell it.

But every good build needs a moment to step back and see how the pieces fit.

Here’s the short version: almost nothing in my life has gone to plan. Each time, I had to work out what to do next, and I got good at it.

01

Cape Town

I wasn’t impressed by who’s who.

I worked for Earl Spencer and rarely knew who anyone was, which is why I was trusted. Then lightning struck the house.

For you: I judge ideas on what they are, not whose title is attached.

02

South Africa

Then my health fell apart.

Crohn’s taught me the lesson I use every day: you can’t stop everything because you have a bad day.

For you: I’m steady when the plan changes, because mine always has.

03

Johannesburg to Sydney

4am flowers, then $5,000 and blind faith.

The hardest job I’ve ever loved paid our way to Australia. We arrived knowing it wouldn’t always be fine.

For you: I know what real effort and real margin feel like.

04

Vision CRC and EcoGroup

Boardrooms, and building through the punches.

Ten years inside the world’s largest vision correction research centre, and a concussion device that should have made it and didn’t. Then a family group of 100+ staff through drought, fire and COVID, still exited cleanly.

For you: I know how boards work, and that the order matters as much as the idea.

05

meforme™, Key360™, COREMEN™

Turning what I know into things that work.

One dietitian’s practice became an app. A system for mapping one student’s learning became Key360™. Ryan’s passion became COREMEN™.

For you: I can help you see what your idea, your expertise or your organisation could become.
